the passionate shopper

There's a new way to shop while you travel, and even get paid while doing it.
a website called the travelers collection sells unique artisan goods from all over the world.

which is great on its own, but the really cool part about it is that it has a feature where you can report your own great finds from your travel experience, and if it sells you earn a commission on the net sales. yes it's that simple. you get paid - just for telling them about it.

and if you're the really creative kind, you can even submit your own creations to become a part of the travelers collection as a 'global artisan.'

and if you just wanna buy something that's okay too, you're still contributing to the cause by supporting these local artisans to keep doing what they do.

underwater sculpture

Artist Jason de Caires Taylor creates underwater sculptures that transform over time into both visual and ecological masterpieces.

From the artist's website:
Highlighting natural ecological processes Taylor’s interventions explore the intricate relationships that exist between art and environment. His works become artificial reefs, attracting marine life, while offering the viewer privileged temporal encounters, as the shifting sand of the ocean floor, and the works change from moment to moment.

One of his exhibitions is definitely on our list of top places to check out.
